Gerry Collins
As Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain, Vice President Strategy Team, Gerry works with the segment S&D leads and strategy team to drive Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain transformation by leading Enterprise Strategy Development, Performance Management & Metrics, Acquisition & Divesture process, Knowledge Management and Project Portfolio Management. In addition, he also leads the Innovation & Ingenuity leaders focused on enabling advanced enterprise capabilities.
Prior to his current role, Gerry led the End-to-End integration of Janssen’s Parenteral Product Portfolio. In 2010 Gerry was appointed as Platform Leader for Janssen’s Biologics Global Manufacturing network. In 2009 Gerry served as the General Manager for Janssen Biologics and Janssen Pharmaceutical located in Cork with the objective of integrating the two operations into one organization. In 2008 Gerry was part of the Odyssey team which Integrated all of the Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Manufacturing sites within one Global Supply Chain organization. In 2005 was appointed General Manager of Alza Ireland in Cashel. In 2001, Gerry transferred to the US as General Manager of Noramco. In 1994 Gerry joined Janssen Pharmaceutical in Cork, Ireland, holding various operations roles.
Preceding these roles at J&J, Gerry worked at Aughinish Alumina where he held various roles of increasing responsibility in production and engineering. Gerry served as an Engineering Officer in the Merchant Navy for 5 years having commenced his career as a Marine Engineer with Exxon Mobil in 1979.
Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick in Ireland, is a graduate of J&J’s LEAD executive development program and is a Past President of the Irish Business Employer’s Confederation (IBEC). He resides in New Jersey with his wife, Karen and two young sons, Kyle and Max.
